2024 Light Parade – December 21

The fourth annual Light Parade is planned for December 21, 2024 beginning at 5:00 PM. The event begins at the 911 Memorial on the Sandbar and winds throughout South Hero and Grand Isle.

The parade will feature South Hero and Grand Isle Fire and Rescue volunteers and their apparatus and the Grand Isle County Sheriff’s Department.  Confirmed are the renowned SD Ireland cement mixer truck, Otter Creek Awning, Troy’s Toys, and M&C Transport, Inc. Invited are the North Hero Volunteer Fire Department, the Vermont National Guard, the Vermont Air National Guard, the Vermont Agency of Transportation, My NBC 5 Weather Lab, and others.

More information will be released as it develops. The final route map will be issued the week prior to the event. It usually takes about three hours for the parade from start to finish. Watch for news about a soundtrack for this year’s parade.
